Linoit - One of the best online bulletin board experiences can be found at Linoit. Set your background to look like a cork board or even use a picture. Then add stickies (with or without due dates), images, videos, documents and even private notes that are viewable by only you. Linoit is excellent as a homepage for your class as well as student projects.

Stixy is an online bulletin board on which you can add stickies, images, documents and calendar dates. This site works great as a classroom homepage; you can add “to do” notes on the board which are added to the calendar.

Edistorm is an online bulletin board that is perfect for developing writing projects. Students can brainstorm, collaborate and organize their thoughts. They can even vote for the most important stickies, hide the rest and export their board as an Excel spreadsheet.

Twiddla is a very powerful online whiteboard that includes sticky notes, text, images and drawing tools. A chat feature is also included, excellent for students collaborating on a project for homework.

Tagxedo http://www.tagxedo.com - create word clouds in different shapes, colors, fonts, etc.  Pull from websites or original text.  Results can be saved as a jpeg or png file.


Wordle http://www.wordle.net/ - create word clouds from typed test.  Ability to change font, color and direction.   Results can be printed or saved to the online gallery.


Wordsift http://www.wordsift.com - Creates word clouds from your text, but also provides a visual thesaurus and  images related to the most used words.

Animoto http://animoto.com/education - Create videos using your images and 5 second video clips.  Site provides copy-right free music and builds the video to time transitions in sync with the music.  Educators get free access to unlimited length films.   Final products can be embedded onto websites, emailed out, or uploaded to YouTube.
